Every student. Every chance.
Talent is everywhere. Opportunity is not.
"Until we get equality in education, we won't have an equal society.
Sonya Sotomayor
At JumpAgrade, we empower young people to overcome barriers to education. With support from our partners, we work with schools in underserved communities, providing subsidised afterschool tuition and guidance.
Why we Exist – bridging the Inequality gaps
The Progression Gap
Students from affluent backgrounds are up to 14 times more likely to progress to university with just 5% of students from under-served communities attending Ireland's highest ranking universities.
The Attainment Gap
Studies show that students from more affluent backgrounds achieve 140 CAO points more on average. This leads to a lack of representation in fields like medicine (5%), economics (2%), business (7%), law (10%), and politics (7%).
The Opportunity Gap
60% of Leaving Certificate students avail of expensive additional tuition (grinds), private schools, Gaeltacht trips, etc with an average of 24,000 of senior cycle students locked out of these opportunities every year.

"My teacher has been a great help for me this year and has helped me with my worst subject, maths. She's incredibly kind, understanding and unafraid to push me when I need it! I went from failing exams to passing all thanks to the work she's done."

You're always patient, encouraging, and never make me feel bad for asking questions. I've learned a lot from you and really enjoy our lessons."
